Weight Loss Competition - Monday, June 11th

Hello everyone. Sorry I didn't post a discussion for the weekend but as I mentioned on my last post, I was out of town. I was disappointed to see so very few results posted, but I am happy to announce that the winner as of right now is, Sunshine4, with a loss of 2 pounds. Congratulations Sunshine4!!
With the start of a new week, we are hoping for new results. Over my vacation, I didn't do as bad as I thought I would. I did do a lot of walking but I also did a lot of drinking, so I think they cancelled each other out.
Let's all hope for a better week this time around. Good luck to all of you who are participating!

I have to admit, I am very happy to be in the lead, but after this weekend, I probably have gained that 2 pounds back:( I am starting fresh again today. Hope everyone else is too.....this is a great way to stay focused and motivated.

Thanks for the kind words. I usually have a hard time on weekends also because the husband is home! This past weekend we had 2 parties on Saturday and Sunday was like~ i need pizza! Oh well, I am back on track today.

morning Rachel, glad you enjoyed your vacation.
sorry I didn't get to post last week. was kinda out of it here. but now I am feeling better. I did loss 3.2 lbs last week which really surprised me!! But I will take it LOL.

As I said in my last post, I spent the weekend at a music festival and did a lot of eating on the run so I am kind of dreading next weeks weigh-in. Of course, I did a lot of walking around too so maybe it will not be as bad as I'm expecting. I guess I will just have to be extra careful what I eat this week and try to undo any damage I have done this past weekend.

I'd love to partake in your competition.
I've been using Sparkpeople.com since mid October and have lost over 30 lbs with still 20 to go and I can use all the extra motivation that I can get. I'm not on a diet more of a life style change and as such as losing the weight slowly and keeping it off.
How can I start being part of this?

Its very easy to join. Just keep track of your weight and then on Friday's there will be a discussion similar to this one where you can record how many pounds you have lost. There is a discussion posted every day where you can write down your accomplishments, failures, etc. There is only one rule in this competition and that is no discouragement towards anyone. Its a very simple rule, but I don't want people to feel like they can't be honest about their failures or accomplisments even if they are minor. So that's it.
I welcome you to our competition, there are no prizes, but you receive the benefits of motivation from your fellow members. I encourage you to introduce yourself and list what your goals are for the competition. You never have to reveal your weight, you just need to list how many pounds you have lost. It is strictly on the honor system. The competition goes until Sept. 1st. Good luck!! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Hi Rachel! Hope you had a great mini-vacation. Glad to her you didn't do too bad. My weekend wasn't very good, the ice cream hollared to loud ;-) but as it is always said, here is to a new day/week. I have good intentions for this week so hopefully I can follow through.

Weight loss competition, huh? Sounds like a great motivation! I am currently at a fat loss plateau, very frustrating. I am trying a different "meal plan" for the week to see if I can jump start my metabolism.

That's what our competition is for, motivational purposes only! If you would like to join, feel free. You don't have to do anything but let us know how much you lost at the end of the week. We post discussions daily so everyone has a chance to express their feelings or ask any questions they might have. Good luck!
