do you believe that adam & eve speaks no language?

In my opinion, when adam & eve was created by God. they don't utter any word. Just sign langugages, that's how they understand each other. Words, alphabets were invented by modern men. therefore there is a possibility that man could have invented the word darkness and associated it with something bright as well as Light and associated it without light. what's your reaction to this?

Well it depends on what your idea of modern man is. Was Moses a modern man? and if he wasn't what was the purpose of God making the tablets with the 10 commandments if they couldn't read or write?
and did they communicate with Lucifer as a snake using sign language, did he use his tongue to sign or did snakes back then have arms and hands?

you have the point there, but how did we know all these. we didn't see or witness these events, isn't it? we only read it from the holy book? which was made by modern men? Moses is considered to be a modern man.

during the first days of creation, it was God himself who named things. God therefore called darkness and light as such. all the terms used in the creation were those of God's. and if you cannot believe that what is written in the Bible are all true, then there is no point of bringing the Bible in as proof and this discussion will bring us nowhere since we are talking about the first man and woman and only the Bible stands proof of their existence.
as for the serpent which was really the demon who spoke and tempted the first ever couple taht happened to be, it really speaks the language of God, too. for remember that there used to be one language only for God and the angels. thus, adam and eve also spoke their language.
let us also remember that the serpent/demon used to be among the angels of God. thus the language of the serpent was also the language of God. during those times there was only one language that was spoken among all.

I don't know about this. Even primative beings (not that I'm supporting evolution, but go with me here) used utterances to communicate. Written words go back thousands of years, originating in the area where Adam and Eve were created. They may not have had written words, but remember--they communicated with God. I don't think that it is unreasonable to believe that the first human languages derived from the language of God and the angels. If you hear people speaking in tongues (as the Holy Spirit gives them the utterance) it sounds a lot like the Arab and Middle Eastern languages. So you never know.
I am curious though, as to why you think that they wouldn't have had any language. If God had created them without words, then how would language have developed and spread among men? And one of the first things God did was to command Adam to name the animals...
and just to head off any rebuff that sign language isn't language (or whatever)--I was a deaf education major, and took an American Sign Language course before my major changed. I understand a lot about sign language and the concepts behind them. I also understand a lot about the culture...just wanted to get that out before I get swarmed with angry emails about the topic.

adam and eve speak the language of God. you will be able to read from the first book in the Bible that God speaks to adam and eve, as well as, the couple has been communicating with each other. God told them that they can give names to everything that they see in the garden of eden. if they can name all those animals and things, living and non-living, then they speak a certain language. and if adam and eve, speak face to face with God, to receive instructions and the rules and laws governing how to live rightfully before God, then they understood everything that God speaks. actually, there are many proofs in genesis to attest to the capability of the couple to speak. you will understand that their language is the very first language of man.
