Yahoo Messenger Flaws Fixed in New Version!

Earlier this past week I reported to everyone that Yahoo messenger has some serious flaws that needed fixed. Well today I'm here to tell you that Yahoo has now fixed these security issues and there is now a new version of Yahoo messenger. Yahoo! Messenger for Windows 8.1.0.401 fixes all these problems that I reported that messenger was having. Makse sure when you install this click "help" menu in the messesenger pane, then click about messenger and make sure that your version number is the same as I have mentioned in this topic, if for some reason it's not then un install the previous messenger and then try again to install this never version. That will solve the problem if there is one. On a personal note I'm really happy Yahoo was quick to fix these problems before people got attacked by hackers :)

I used to love Yahoo Messenger and practically lived by it a few years ago! I stopped though, since I'm not really interested in messengers as I used to be, and most of my friends use MSN or AIM. I kind of get the feeling that the Y!Messenger is ignored, but it's good to know they still listen to user's feedback and make corrections on their new versions. Maybe I'll pick it up again!

Hey Chris, thanks for the heads up on this. Heck I didnt even know that they was a problem with it. but mine has an 8 but wow I do haop that they have it fix because there are somedays that I have about 4 friends on and talking to them at the same time. Hey do you think that Yahoo will ever come up with something like 3way calling on the IM so that way you dont have to have so many opened at the same time. LOL Hugs

well i do not like yahoo messenger8 version.i am working at my own yahoo client. i think still yahoo messenger version8 has many bugs.today booting is a big problem else hackers and i did not get which security holes your pointing. if your talking about trojans attack then its still possible to get logs with trojans of yahoo logins.well i wanna get which security holes your pointing that erlier version7 have?
