How To Create Your Own WebHosting With Windows 2000 Server??

i have an old pc and its quite handy as i started to create my own webhost so i isntalled windows 2000 server and created an ftp and i have an router so i treid that ip adress in ym other computer and it worked the FTP but on the internet it dont work so can anybody tell me how to publish it on the internet???

you can still host your own website in your own pc by using subdomain name...all u need to have is a webserver after installing you have to open port so your website can be viewed on the internet...to check if your website works you can type localhost in your browser or a WAN IP if the port already forwarded. to CHECK what is your wan ip then u can go to whatismyip.com when u got ur wan then open it...if ur wan IP dont work well maybe there something wrong with your webserver installation...to get a subdomain name or a DNS u can go to no-ip.com then add ur ip there. check my site http://ramer.no-ip.info its a subdomain name which hosted by my own pc. cya
