I've been trying to write a fantacy novel. I know everything I need to know about the character, who he is, where he's going, what he needs to do, everything! However, every time I go to sit down and write, I can't think of anything epic or entertaining to write.
I want to make my book good, I'd love to make a career out of writing, but I suffer from serious writers block. It realy sucks!
Any thoughts?

Here's what helped me:
Go to the library or bookstore and get a copy of this book - Outwitting Writer's Block and Other Problems of the Pen, by Jenna Glatzer. Then, get a copy of Make Your Creative Dreams Real, by SARK.
Each will help you grasp different areas of creativity that may or may not be stifling your writing goals. I refer to my copies quite often to help me solve different creative problems I'm having with both fiction and non-fiction writing.
One of the best pieces of advice I received when I started my writing career was that a writer reads more than they write. These books will help you in that regard, as well. :)

Write whatever comes to mind. Do some stream of thought writing and see where it goes. For me that loosens the gears some.
In other cases its an emotional thing--- I can't quite get inside a characters heart and I have to inspire the emotion I was looking for. I use music for that, not neccessarily a favorite song, but one that evokes the emotion. Metal and rock for agressiveness, Enya for peaceful requiem types, etc.

Thank you, I have already tried the music though. I find writing is a difficult process to begin, but as soon as I can start it usualy goes fluidly.
