A Far-Reaching Ruling

Some may regard the recent Supreme Court decision to uphold the ban of a specific abortion technique called "partial-birth" abortion as being just another effort to control women's reproductive lives. However, I believe that the real issue is who ultimately controls medical care in the United States. Traditionally, it has been in the hands of highly trained doctors who know the specifics of a patient's situation and truely care about what is best for the patient.Due to this recent ruling medical care has been put into the hands of the politicians, who know little to nothing about medicine or a patients situation and are more concerned with pleasing their constituants than what is best for the patient.

I agree with you. Politicians have nothing to do with patients. Doctor should be responsible to make such decision not politicians.
They wan to have control of everything...

It should be up to the doctor and the patient and noone else.
