I used to sleep with lights out or at least little lighting. But when I just watch horror movie, I always have the lights accompany me to sleep =) I'm just so chicken with horror movie. Years ago, I read that sleeping with lights out is good for our body because our body creates something to fight against certain cancer during in the dark. Anyway for whatever reason, I feel comfortable sleeping with the lights out. Do you?

I prefer to sleep with lights since I'm used to it since I was a kid.I'm not afraid much with the dark but seem I'm more comfortable with it while I'm asleep.

I just can't sleep with the lights on except if I'm very tired. When I'm tired I can ignore all lights because I just fell asleep everywhere easily. Thanks for sharing.

i can never sleep well in the deepest darkness either. my mother used to have a lighted lamp all the while at the farm. the lamp is always situated at the living room. thus all the bedrooms have creeping lights which is good enough to illuminate each room where anyone can figure out as to where on is exactly located anytime. at this moment, i wonder why this is so. i am never afraid of the dark. in fact, i can tread streets in deep darkness in the middle of the night without qualms if times come when i have to. i am the only one who can do it in the family.

I have to have the lights out to sleep. I don't know what it is, but any light comes in and I am up for good. Being near a window facing the sun in the morning is the worst thing for me, if I can't blck it out, I don't want to sleep there. As for sleeping with company after a scary movie, I don't need the company because of the movie, but I always sleep much better if I have someone in the bed beside me. Makes me miss being with my love!

Well, it's quite a problem if it's a have to. Like what you had, just a little light and you're up for good. So far I'm OK with little light. Thanks for sharing.

no, i never sleep with the lights out. although i cannot sleep either when the light is on in the bedroom where i am sleeping. the lights will have to on in common areas like the living room, the kitchen and the alley which leads to the bathroom. the light that is emanated from these areas will creep into the bedroom. thus i can figure out as to where the things are located in the bedroom. whenever i get awakened for whatever reason, i will not lose my focus as to where i am exactly at the moment. you can just imagine what a black out can do to me if i get awakened in the middle of one. so, i always keep a flashlight at the headboard.

I sleep with the light off. Actually I've never slept with it on unless it's dark and I've taken a nap in a chair with someone else around. Normally I don't, but it has happened abit recently :) ~Joey kudos!

I dont like lights when I am set to sleep - lights irritate me and I cant seem to put myself to rest. That fact which you gave is very interesting. I just wish you could tell me more about it, or if you could give us a link on where you specifically read that, that would be perfect! That may help us fight cancer... B-)
