Does anyone have a remedy for ant bites?

In our area, we get lots of ants in the house. No matter how clean I keep the house, they seem to find the one piece of cat food that got lodged under the couch. So, we have an uneasy truce with them. On occasion, my daughter gets an ant bite or two. But, she can't leave them alone and picks at them until they're red. Does anyone know what I can use to take the sting out of an ant bite? Homemade or store bought solutions are fine with me. Just anything you could suggest would be gratefully appreciated.

OH! thats bad just apply the keto-B ointment if the rash becomes more big and redening, but firstly apply the coconut oil if available on the spot the bite,it reduses the irritation and even stops the enlarging of the rash.

I have a good one get baking soda and add water to it to make it pastey and it will stop it from itching. Try it, it helps. But if you want to by over the counter stuff by this stuff called Maximum strength First On Anti-Itch it really helps because we have an outside cat who brings fleas in the house so thats what we got and it helps.

Not knowing where you are, I can only go by southern experience. We have fire ants down here. Make sure your grass is cut short. It helps some. I also took generic powdered clothes detergent and lined the outside walls of all the carpeted rooms with it. It took some work on hands and knees with a spoon, but it kept them out. There are creams for bug bites at Walmart. You could also try making a paste of meat tenderizer and coating the bite. Or rubbing the bite with a barely dry bar of soap. Hope this helps!
