i just saw the 3rd pirates movie in the theater and i have to say that it was long, boring, and ended badly. not only did they ruin the relationship between will and elizabeth until the last 20 minutes of the movie but they made most of it about davy jones instead of jack which is why they made the movie in the first place. wills dad should have pierced the heart or even better it should have been one of the dorky sailors who survived the east india crew and joined the pirates in the end. then they would have been the new captain and ran with that story line. just could have been better all around and i loved the first two. such a disappointment!

I didn't watch the first two parts and went to see the 3rd. Though i had my friend explaining me every major sequence that happened, i found the movie extremely boring. The ending was very poorly scripted, and with the people looking so horrible, i hardly could keep myself seated in the hall. It was one of the hateful english movies i have ever seen.

I'm surprised that anyone who enjoys the first and second movies can dislike the third. We saw it the weekend that it opened, and - although we were a little fuzzy on the details of the first, since it had been so long since we had seen it - I left the movie thinking that it was the best of the three. We went ahead and watched it again the next day, and I picked up on so much more information that I was a little confused about the first time I watched it (had some questions at the end, but they were all answered in the movie, took the second viewing for me to pick up the details).
Just this past weekend, we had a "Pirates" marathon. After the marathon, I am standing by my decision that the third is the best of the three.
