Why do we speak of different languages when God introduce only one?

"there used to be one language only for God and the angels. thus, adam and eve also spoke their language", as quoted from Trinidadvelasco. We do not question the existence of God and I do believe in God's words. I was just wondering why we have to end up speaking in different languages. Can anybody give a significant and historical explaination to this?

Does God have a language? Being pure spirit, He certainly isn't limited by language but communicates himself by inspiration. Whenever the Bible mentions feature's of God that ressemble human's, it uses a literary expression called 'anthropomorphism', introduced in order to make us able to understand God's magnificence.
As to human language itself, it is a living thing, inseparably connected to human developement. Did you notice the difference between the habitants of Dallas and habitants of Boston? Both speak English, but is sounds so different. Now, today there exist mass communications, so we constantly are reminded of how English has to be written or pronounced. About 500 years ago, Shakespeare also wrote English, but nowadays his works have to be translated modern English. This is because in the meantime, the different speakers all gave a little twist to the language. Lacking those mass communications, nobody reminded them to stick to the common form.
And many thousands years ago, this happened all over the Earth, again and again. Brothers separated to distant places, and their children each changed a little bit their pronounciation. Through the centuries, new languages were born of those more ancient. Example: German, Dutch, Swedish, English, Danish, Flamish and more, all come from one mother tongue, ancient germanic language.
Today, it is fine that we all can discuss here speaking English. But this doesn't mean that we should forget our original language, but teach it to our children so they can enjoy the riches of both tongues. Have a nice day!

i don't have any significant or any historical information, for me i think, because God created different countries, all that can understand that language must stay there and those are for those other country. He divided people, to have different culture, to be different species, so they have different language as well. to differ them from the rest and vice versa.

If we go on the assumption (which I believe as well) that God created Adam and Eve, then it was not that many generations removed from them that people built the tower of Babel to reach the sky and be like God, or as gods or depending how you translate it. God mixed up the languages because of it.
Check out Genesis 11:1-9

Different languages began as far as the book of Genesis 1 verses 1-11 when the the people of the earth had decided to build a tower as far up to heaven so God saw what they were doing and because of their unity in motive and language he knew that they will perform it so He confounded them. He did it because if they could accomplish building the tower they could do other things that would not be pleasing to God.
