After lving and traveling through Sth America and living in Chile for nearly 3 years I learnt pretty well to speak spanish, I had to as I ended up marrying a Chilena :P I'm sure many here have a 2nd language, how many of you can speak spanish and did you find it easy to learn. I thought I'd really struggle to learn it but it was only about 6 months before I was speaking fluently and understanding most of what I heard from others!

I understand a bit of makaton which is a sign language my daughter uses.
I can understand a few words in spanish, but that is more from watching sesame street than anything else.
I did a little bit of german at school, and can ask for the location of the toilet, and how to count to a thousand.
Aside from that, no I don't know any other languages.
I thought I might try to learn another language, but which one?
Spanish, french, german, italian, japanese?
Too many to choose from.

^Thank you! I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, but you know how that is; you can't really learn a language in a couple hours a day in two years. It's been three years of practice since then, and I'm still only to the point of barely being able to use it... I keep trying, though.

I speak Spanish! Though it was my first language so of course I find it really easy. But it did take me about 3 years to learn English! Lol.
I love the Chilean accent, it's very different from that of the Caribbean (I'm from the Dominican Republic) so I doubt you and I would even be able to fully understand each other! Heheh.. I would love to go to Chile some day. =)
