Do movies really make fashion????

Yes, I believe some movies do have their impact on fashion and style. For example, the movie 'Troy' made the comeback for empire dresses for the ladies. Movies like 'The Matrix' and 'Ocean's 11,12 & 13' are creating styles for the men to be suave. And the movie 'Clueless' made fashion statements for teenagers all over the world. So yes, I do believe that movies play a huge role in the fashion and style that we use today.

i think fashion shows r not seen by more public tehn movies are seen by people, so they haev more effect then shows do. besides actors a re popular then models because of their wider market of view!!

Yes! I always look at the clothes in the movies or tv shows I watch. I even made a discussion about one particular item. If you're a fan of Friends you might know what I'm talking about. In one episode after Ross's Wedding to Emily Rachel wears this BEAUTIFUl yellow dress on a date. I love that dress, I want that dress,I NEED that dress! lol.

yes i thnk movie stars make mre fashion statements thn ramp models cz i thnk wen in movies ppl try to connect thmselves wit the character and wen thy do thy try immitating wat thy r waearing also. second reason is movie stars are more exposed to media and public and therefore everybody knws their lavish lifestyles and ppl try wearing their clothes trying to fulfill their som dreams.

Perhaps scifi movies like star wars and start trek, have you seen some of the fans of the movies, not to be mean but they really need to get a life.

i say, this is possible. just like when the matrix movie was shown. after that, people around my neighborhood like to wear black suits and the infamous shades even during the night.. funny.
