I rather reply. I have done my far share of both, but I do more replying than starting a discussion. I can't think of things to talk about, but I always have an opinion, idea or advice. :o)

I'd rather respond to discussions than start them. I occasionally begin a discussion but I find that people don't respond to them often, at least right away, and I never really can come up with something that I believe others would really find discussion worthy. I'd rather reply.

they all nice but ... it depend !
if you respond to nothing ...
or you start a new discussion and you find that it was deleted with no obvious reason .
i think i prefer posting more because you choose what you respond to... what do you think ?!

Since management targets the discussions more.. I much prefer to respond. Also pay rate is better in responding. You only get a point for earnings when someone finally responds and then you have to participate some more to keep people coming back and that takes time when you could be responding. If the earnings reflected the overall participation then we could earn a bit more and it be more equitable to do both discussions and responding. Just my thoughts.

I prefer to answer the discussions over making the discussions. There is less chance all the cranky and rabid people will come out and attack you for various things they think your post is about. LOL, That has never stopped me from posting what I want, but it is just an ordeal to have to weed through the negativity to get to the people who really add to the purpose of the discussion. : )

Posting discussions is my first love in this Forum. However, paucity of time prevents me from getting ready to start discussions as I like. When I have little time here I go for responding to discussions of my liking.Of course I make it a point to ignore one-liner discussions.
