Well the first think when i open my menu, what i look at is the price list! once we(me and my hubby) took his friends for dinner in a decent restaurant! and he ordered he ordered for everyone........ AND GUESS WHAT??? WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE PRICE! Oh my god! Just for six people we paid rs3500 and came out!
I was so pissed off! since then even he looks at the price before ordering... BUT still price does not makes any difference to him unlike me!
I always wonder what do others look at first when they open the menu? Price or the dishes?

I definitely look at the prices first and see if they are realistic with what I want to order. Sometimes the prices can be really scary and I have no choice but to order something else. I don't enjoy spending a lot in restaurants because I would feel guilty afterwards spending that much money when I might be able to use it better in other ways. I don't even go out and have dinner now because I live on a tight budget and I don't think it's wise for me to spend like that. And indeed, I feel quite happy that I don't have to wait in line, listening to other people's talking while I am eating, and got scared by the prices.

I too look at the price first before ordering. I think only the rich can afford to eat at a fine restaurant and don't care at all for the price.

I know exactly what you mean. The first thing I look at the menu would also be the price. My hubby ,on the other hand, is just like yours. He does not have the habit of looking at prices and he also tends to over order food. I get mad at him over this as well :)
