My daughter stopped at Sonic at 7:45 this morning on her way to work to get breakfast.
When she got there..she decided she wanted a hot fudge milkshake instead of a breakfast burrito! So here's my question to you this morning.
What's your favorite non-traditional breakfast food?
Come on get creative! Anyone can say cold pizza and left over spaghetti. I want to know what the craziest (or maybe even grossest) thing you've EVER eaten for breakfast is!I will even start the discussion...even though Kristen's milkshake is pretty non traditional!Once when I was working the midnight shift, several of us went to IHOP when we got off at 7 in the morning. I ordered and ate a steak, baked potato, caesar salad and chocolate cake!

Okay will I am big on potatoe chips and dip! I wrote about that a couple of days ago. Hmmm what else have I done for breakfast.. besides a left over diner. Oh ya, I make myself one time maybe even twice LOL a banana split with all the trimmings. What can I say I started out to make a morning healthy breakfast shake. LOl, One thought lead to another and next thing I know I was making a flew blown banana split. Humm

oh my ,you are bad . Eating a banana split for breakfast . I won't tell you about all the calories. And I won't tell you how high your blood sugar will spike and then drop extra low again . Man , they do taste good though don't they LOL

My blood sugar is fine, now that I'm not having to take steroids all the time for my back! But, I still try to be careful because of the diabetes in my family.
Most of the time, I stick to fruit, or perhaps some toast and jam. I love bacon, but have to watch the salt content because of the blood pressures.
But I do love ice cream! It's a luxury that I allow myself occasionally.
I want mint chocolate chip though!

well..bananas are kind of healthy! lol
I guess breakfast isn't the usual standard fare that it used to be 20 years ago.
Most of us don't sit down with our families and eat unless we are going out for breakfast, or it's Saturday.

For me, breakfast is anything fast, that does not eat me first. Hubby prefers to not eat until around ten, and make it meat and eggs. I guess one of our strange sounding things, that is really quite good, is a blender shake that has yogurt, ripe bananas, peanut butter and chocolate syrup. Really is yummy and nutritious.

Wow. One of my favorite things is to take a banana and put it into the freezer, and then dip it in melted chocolate and let it harden back around the banana.

I have to admit..I like grilled mahi mahi as much as the next guy..but I don't think i could eat it at 8 in the morning. I'm cringing at just the thought! lol
I can see why your stomach would rebel! lol
You never know though...what I might try someday.

Will definately do that! It's 10:00 in the morning here now, but quite frankly, I don't think I could tolerate anything at this point, and certainly not fish!
I had a really rough night with my back, and had to take some pain medicine, and so my tummy isn't very compromising with me this morning. As a matter of fact it's rather angry at me and threatening to send the coke I drank back to me.

I can do pizza in the morning, only if it's cheese only. Sometimes ham but everything else just seems too greasy.
The kids still have stomachs of iron. lol

Left over pizza is a staple at our house. I make home made pizzas for dinner at night, and there is usually some left over. First thing in the morning, the kids run for the fridge

Each person is different, that is what makes the world such a great place to live. I can't do spicy in the morning. I really can't do spicy in the evening either, just very limited because it will keep me up all night with heartburn.

I think it also depends on how you were brought up. I now that we have friends who live in Germany, and they have things for breakfast that I've never dreamed of.
We also have friends from the north that don't understand how we eat gravy in the morning.

I usually have cereal for breakfast. But as for non-traditional food for breakfasts, I'd have soup and maybe stir fried vegetables. I don't like to eat heavy in the morning. So yeah. Probably some people already have soup for breakfast? Not me.

I was really stressed out the other morning...I ended up eating ice cream for breakfast! Chocolate Mint Chip straight out of the carton! I poured about a half a bottle of Chocolate Magic Shell on the top of it. That's the chocolate syrup that gets crunchy when it touches something cold.

Funny the things we will eat in the morning...but when you work night shifts morning is when we want dinner. I had a hard time getting dinner but I finally talked the people into serving me the shrimp dinner at Denney's one morning.
My son thought it was gross but it was just what I wanted. I did get a lot of funny looks from everyone around us, even the waitress look perplexed.

Our Denney's here, you can get anything at any time of the day. I've been known to eat Steak at 8 in the morning, and bacon at eggs at 9 p.m.
I actually prefer breakfast food at night.

Ha just yesterday I heard someone say she eats 2 brownie bites for breakfast every day and that it is .
Of course on occasion I eat chocolate chip oatmeal cookies for breakfast. Well they have oatmeal in them they must be healthy .
What I think is disgusting is drinking coke for breakfast, and I almost gag when I see people at McDonalds eating hamburgers and fries for breakfast .

I am not a huge coffee drinker in the morning. I usually start my day with a Dr. Pepper. lol
Sorry....
I only wish that our McDonalds would serve fries at breakfast time. i would like them much better than their hashbrowns.

Sorry, no help here also - I am a totally non-traditional eater. I always have pizza (hot), spegetti, lazania, steak, chops - whatever, for breakfast. Pancakes, omletes, ummm french toast are dinner foods on my own schedual.

that's funny...because one of my family's favorite places to go for dinner...is IHOP! We usually get pancakes and eggs and stuff. I could eat bacon at any time of the day or night.

I love a nice cold pasta in the morning. Especially if it has lots of crunchy veggies. :)

I love, every once in awhile to have one of two things for breakfast that I don't think anyone else likes. Tuna Casserols with peas and melted monterey jack cheese is one (usually a winter faourite). The other is a Rueben, which the way I make it is basically spicy linguica sausages in a french roll. You then add melter cheese, mustard and saurkraut. Sounds pretty gross, I know but the whole family likes it, too. The Reuben is more of a sumemr choice because the sausages are also barbecued and there are often leftovers.

I have been known to eat a can of tuna...straight out of the can with a side of Ruffles potato chips. Guess the tuna casserole isn't far off from that huh?

I tend to eat whatever I want for breakfast. For me time does not matter to my stomach, if it is 7 am and I want a hamburger, I will eat one!
I enjoy eating leftovers of whatever we had the night before for breakfasts. We had tacos tonight for supper, so I would love to have them for breakfast tomorrow morning as well!

I don't think I've ever had tacos. I have had a hamburger before.
