Well in middleschool I was a big nerd being cooped up in a over protective home, I was doomed to a life of solitude as a nerd. BUt then my friend who then was one of the coolest guys in campus lend a hand to me, he let me join the in group and groomed for the life ahead. I never became a famous person in school but atleast I learned how to fit in and not be so weird. He taught me culture "in those day hip hop was the culture" he taught me tact, and how to flirt with girls. Basically my teenage life was saved because of my ex best friend. It saddened me that when he moved to Japan he completely changed. I met him some ten years later and visited his new home, he was now a Jigoloo in a bar in Japan earning a lot but not exactly the job you would be proud of right?
I wanted to help him like the way he helped me, but he didnt listen...now our friendship is lost and I do miss him a lot, he was like a brother to me and I will always owe him a lot.

speaking of drastic changes, well, he might have passed through some events in his life that changend him drastically, and, that lead to where he is at right now. Life can be so tough, u know, so that bringing back the old (and better) ways of a person can be impossible. Putting some more acceptance to his new person might help.

I've had 2 life altering experiences that stand out up & above all the ordinary ones. The first one was when I was 18 years old & I got into some legal trouble. Because of who my parents were, the prosecutor wanted to "make an example" of me. The judge gave me a break that the county attorneys office just wouldn't accept, so they saw to it that my probation was "violated" & on Christmas Eve I was sent to the state prison for the next 1 1\2 yrs. In some ways I've never recovered from that culture shock & seriously doubt I ever will. I'm also old enough now that it doesn't really matter any more. The 2nd big "changer" was last year. When all was said & done, my appendix had ruptured 4 days earlier & it was a miracle I'd even lived as they can be fatal within hours of the actual rupture. Two weeks later I had a system shutdown which amounted to me poisoning myself internally, which was another hospital stay. Point being I was at deaths door 2 times in 1 month, yet here I am today. And thankful for it.

I guess all of us pass this transition stage when each of us enters into a relationship. Being involved with someone is a life changing experience. All of a sudden there are things which you can usually do while you were single that seems to be taboo in a relationship.
