I have a 4 months old shitzu/poodle puppy that I bought through internet.. I took care of him like my own baby but I didnt expect him to treat me like his mom..:) For the first two months he was just so quiet and he loves to be hugged by me.. He follows me around and wiggles his tail everytime I call his name.. "BILBO"..
NOw we usually sleep together, he lies down like HUMAN and he wakes me up as soon as he wake up.. bad dog! there were times he woke up around 2am and barked at me! I was angry at first but when I saw this little creature looking at me with twinkling eyes like he was so excited to play with me again, everything turned out as a SMILE..
There we're times that I stepped out of the house without him anymore because he's heavier than before.. He gets very very lonely.. The time I am heading out of the house, he keeps on barking and runs behind me, so I got our helper holding him everytime.. He doesnt eat anything, drink anything without me at home.. There was a time, I left him home for 4 days.. while I was away from home my Mom keeps on texting/calling me and tells me that my dog doesnt eat anything.. He keeps on running in every corner, cries out and when he gets exhausted, he lies down with those very lonely eyes.. He got sick and almost died.. After that incident, my dog's eyes are hooked on me. hehe! And I will never leave him that long anymore!!
Very overwhelming right??
Had the same experience? mind sharing it with me?!:)

Awww, poor little thing. You are def. his mommy in his eyes. My puppy now follows me everywhere I go and will sleep with me all the time. If I have to leave the house and he can't go with me he will cry until he wears himself out. Thankfully, he still eats and drinks even if I'm not in the house with him. From what you've told us I think that your puppy has seperation anxiety. You might wanna look into getting the pheromone sprays that calm him when you're not there. I would get really worried if stops eating and drinking everytime you leave though. The first time was probably normal because he was scared you weren't going to return to him. Good Luck!
