There is no job security in Canada. Why the Indian people want to immigrate Canada?

I work in an industry in Canada where a lot of Indians work. I am in the taxi business and it is so sad when these men come from respectable jobs in India and they have to drive a taxi because they can't use their education here to do there chosen profession. We are short Doctors here in Canada yet we have Dr.s from India that have to drive taxis as a way to support their families. Something is wrong with that I say. The only job security they have is when they buy a taxi. It is a great place to live but we are going to have to start letting the professionals ply their trades.

is that so? I had a conversation with a canadian two days ago. He visited my country, Philippines.And he told me that life in Canada is so comfortable. People without work are given money. Children with parents who are jobless are sent to school to study. Old people have pension. Is this really true? Or this man is just trying to promote his country by telling lies?

I know most of the taxi drivers are doctors, engineers and highly educated people. They can't use their education here. If they want to do that they have to study here again and get equivalency and need canadian experience too.I think India is better now. No job security in Canada. There is no job security for buying a taxi also. I don't think so.

The life in Canada is not so comfortable. Without job it is very hard to survive in Canada. The Government have some social security measures like employment insurance benefit, welfare, etc. But there are certain conditions/eligibilities to get the benefits. The government do not give any benefit blindly.The Seniors(old people) will get the old age benefit only after 65.... years.The child benefit will get depends upon the income of the family. If the family income is high the benefit will be very low. Upto Grade 12 the education is free but afterwords the college and university education is highly expensive.Suppose anyone takes welfare benefit then he/she cannot sponsor anybody for 3 years.

in india all want to go to abroad andw ithout thinking we put allour money and head towards foreign countries but no one realises the situation in those countries .in india there are plenty of jobs available and why do you wanna run to canada..companies do prvide you with good foreign trips so join here in india and start making progress and once you get good results you will automatically be heading towras cananda..what say sudasre

Yes, you are correct binny no one realises the situation in these countries. India is developing now. More job opportunities in India and the compensation also good now. Most of the north indian people are came here and started factory/security/taxi driver job here. They never think about their career(educational background). They want only money. Most of them says they came here because of their kids education. I don't think so in these countries have better education than India. Why they are thiking like that I don't know.
