Soul mates - do you believe you have one out there

My best friend once said to me that one's soul mate does not have to be your partner, it can be a friend, sister and so on. I was thinking however, what happens if you never meet your soul mate or if the love of your life does not think/feel you are the love of his/her life - What happens next? Do we have one one soul mate, do we have only one love?

Hi, Magdalena... I find this to be an interesting topic....I believe that my husband is my soul mate...I think that we have literally circled each others lives until we met...although we were born a decade apart...and in different cities...we have literally lived within a few miles of each other since reaching adulthood....our paths could have crossed a million different times..but once we did...we could not get each other out of our minds... For people who believe in reincarnation, they say that the relationships will be different with each lifetime...but a soul mate will continue to be a major part of each other lives every time....this is an interesting theory to me... I am not sure what the truth is...concerning soul mates but I know how I feel about the man I consider to be mine...

I know what you mean Tina, sometimes it feels like the whole universe comes together just for a person to meet another - very strange indeed and does make you think of destiny and how everything was probably meant to be... Maybe we have more than one to love....or maybe just one...and we are going to be with our soul mate no matter what...in this or next life....

I believe we all have someone we were meant to be with out there somewhere. As for having only one love I have to say I have had 2 that I can say I thought were the "only" one at the time so that should tell us something huh?
