Would you be rude?

Typically when someone posts an inappropriate reply to one of my discussions, I simply ignore it and move on. But, sometimes people are just plain wrong in the advice they're giving. So what's the best solution for dealing with these situations. Would you point out their mistake? Or, politely thank them for their response and move on?

Hi im new here recently responded to a dicussion about children when someone quite rudely or rather mae sarcastic remark on my comment,,i was quite pissed off, i only posted my personal opinion.
I dont know why some ppl just like to be this way...
if they don agree they can don post or jus don be sarcartic with their remarks..
I have kids myself too. I would like to bring them up in my way, No stranger has the right to tell me wat is right and wrong.
I was quite upset but that didnt stop me from posting, However my mum always tells me this a barking dog will never bite im not sure if this true but i rather quietly move on then then answer abarking dog...

I've had that happen to me too. Sometimes my good advice is taken wrong. But, it's often more of a misunderstanding. Other times people assume that I'm judging them, when I'm not. Thanks for taking the time to post a courteous response.

Wouldn't a simple "thank you very much, but you got it all wrong" be enough?
And if it ever applies to me, which I hope it doensn't (he he), I would like to know wheter you liked it or found it useful or whatever...
