The Red Wings re-signed Chris Chelios today for his 24th season in the NHL. It will be his 9th season with the Red Wings, which will equal the amount of time spent with Chicago.
It was an expected and (in my option) good move by the Red Wings to keep Chelios a Red Wing.

Good news? It is great! I can't believe it has been 9 years since Chelios came from Chicago. I remember in the first season with the Red Wings , Chris didn't play that first game in Chicago as a Red Wing. And now he will have played the same amout of years in both cities.Wow. Go Wings.

Yes, great news, not just good. Lol.
After all of the battles against the Wings while he was with Chicago, it seems so strange that he has been a Red Wing for more years than he was a Blackhawk. (I counted the lockout year for that comment)
