Since the baby was born, my legs and thighs are my biggest issues. I have tried various home grown plans, including the salad diet, soup diet and grapefruit diet. Most provide temporary weight loss, but none work to get rid of excess weight on legs and thighs.
Currently, I'm using a stationary cycle several times a week, and it seems to be helping somewhat. But, I know that there is more I can do to take the weight off my lower body.
Please share your best tips for thinner thighs and stronger legs? Swimming? Low carb diets? Jogging?

What I've noticed that works for me is, I bought a mini-tramboline and have put it in living room. I get on it, and while watching TV I do gentle foot lifts (stand push off bottom of feet onto balls). Then I walk in place and sometimes pick up the speed; not often, though. I don't know why it works so well; something with the 'give' of the material perhaps but it sure does the trick. Drink enough water as well throughout the day until your urine is clear. That will get rid of all toxins. Good luck.

When I was actually doing it, windsor pilates for butt and thighs really worked. I would get compliments all the time. Hmmm, come to think of it, I should start again :)

Resistance training exercises for your leg such as squats, lunges, step ups etc will strengthen them. Doing cardiovascular exercise that works the leg muscles such as jogging na dbiking increases the endurance of the muscle only.
To lose the fat in your legs though, the type of exercises only plays a minimal role. Burning fat through good nutrition is the most important aspect. A solid exercise program also helps.

well its not easy to loose wight for a shorter time it really need perseverance and make a realistic goal.. maybe you shouldn't eat heavy meals on night, cause your going to sleep and can gain more weight. if the fats are stocked in to your thighs... maybe by making a proper exercise.. any exercise will do as long as your thighs are sweating that means your burning the fats inside it... keep your good diet... and eat fruits... drink plenty of water...

Exercise is definitely the key. Your thighs are kind of a hard place to focus on, without the right equipment. I would say the best excersize for your thighs would be the hip abductor (not sure if I spelled it right) but its a machine at the gym that you sit upright in and you either place your legs together and push out or start with them out and bring them together. there are two exercises on the one machine.
