They are saying that this will be the next Harry Potter. Well we haven't read it - but do you think you will read it? Is it even possible to have another series as popular as Harry Potter?

I remember hearing that Lemony Snicket was the next Harry potter too..I saw part of the 1st movie...it was awful.
What are your feelings on this

You are 100% right, Harry Potter is sn institution, 50 years from now people will still be reading it.
It may not be impossible to surpass, but it is highly unlikely that it will happen so soon.

I think the nnext great series will jsut happen like potter did i do not think you can hype a series to being better than the last it jsut happens for whatever reason.

Well the person who read it..said it gives them the same feeling Harry Potter did..I think it would be nice to have a series of book as exciting as HP.
But you are right, hype does not make it good.

Yes it would or even do more of the star wars movies to develop other characters even with the other ones from HP

The storyline sounds interesting. People are always fascinated by fantasy stories of unique or unknown places. A boy archeologist will capture the male readers. It is hard to find books for boys that they will want to read. I think Harry Potter did that well without excluding girls. It sounds like it could be another winner.

There will always be something to take the place of a beloved series that comes to an end. Be it books, television, movies, etc., there will always be something to come along to entertain us.

But do you think it will be able to measure up to the Harry Potter books?
The creativity, the suspense??

if it is really just like the hp, then, I think, it won't be as exciting as the hp because it will just sound or look like a copy or there will be no much more excitment because it will just feel the same. the excitement will lose its peak.

Well it is a different story line, about a kid that is an archaelogist, but the publisher is looking at selling books and making money.
He is seeing popularity and readability factors.

Oh really? That's really cool! But what do you really mean by the next Harry Potter? Kind of like the same story but other characters? That's totally cool! But do you think that other people may get tired of the storY? hmm... That's what's on my mind these days...

Well it looks good- I'm not into Harry Potter- My daughter watched them all and read all the books though- I'll have to ask her about tunnels. I thought Leminy Snicket was terrible- We both watched this one together- and it was really dumb. I almost got up and left the theater- SO I hope this one is better!

Well...I have a great love for children's books to begin with...I'm actually doing a Harry Potter readathon since I want to keep track of what went on previously before the next and last book comes out--I love the Artemis Fowl books..etc. etc...so you've peaked my interest now with the Tunnels books..and the fact that the kid is some kind of archealogist?? Whoa, that's definitely up my alley--only time will tell if it's as popular....As for the Lemony Snicket books...now those I found dismally depressing to be honest...and I really didn't mind the movie..
