Should they be played at night after the kiddos' go to bed or is it ok to have them on during the day so our kids can see them while the BB sitter is there?

I think it is more the resposibility of the parent to limit what their children see. There are plenty of adults that may want to watch things during the day that a child cannot, but if you aren't sure wether or not to trust the babysitter to obstruct certain watching, then maybe you ought to change babysitters.
