I saw this other discussion about bath towels, and this question just popped up in my mind..
When you travel and stay in a hotel, there are towels provided.
Do you use them? Or do you bring your own towel?Me, I don't use the towels in hotels. I just think that they're not the cleanest (i don't know maybe it's just in my mind).. So when I travel, I bring my own towel(s), even if it can add to the bulk in my luggage. lol.=D
How about you?

I don't use them no.
I take my own because I've worked in a few hotels as a waiter and you wouldn't like to know their secrets. So I prefer to take my own :)
Kudos,
~Joey

I use the towels provided by the hotels and motels for that matter. I need the space in my luggage for my clothes, books, cds, and anything that I might acquire. I don't have room for towels and besides the towels in the motels are clean. All we have to do is to leave the towels on the bathroom floor and go away for breakfast. When we return the new towels are already hung up.

A towel is something I usually forget to bring on a trip for some reason, so I do end up using the towels in hotel rooms. I don't think they are that dirty, I mean they usually look perfectly clean. I guess if it looks clean to me then I'm not bothered by it.

I barely have enough room in my suitcase to bring all my clothes, hairdryer, hair products, makeup etc when I travel, so I definitely use the hotel towels. Honestly, I have never considered that they were not clean enough. I have however, been a bit bothered with sleeping with the comforters!

Since I hate to carry heavy luggage, one of the things that I usually remove in my list to carry is my towel. What I do is to go and check in to the hotel that I trust and found their facilities and services were good enough to satisfy me. So to answer your question, yes I used the towel that was offered in the hotel, but only to those that I trust.

it usually depends on what hotel i will stay. but definitely, i always bring my own towel whenever i travel. if i have to stay longer in a certain hotel, there are times that i use their towels.

i bring my own towels when i travel but when i'm staying in a particularly good hotel, i keep my towels dry and use the ones provided by the hotel. i think the better hotels disinfect, steam and press their towels so we wont have to worry about it. but towels in motels, hostels, etc...hmmm i'm not so sure.

I would love to bring my own towel but sometimes its impossible koz towels usually take lots of space and i would use the towel provided in the hotels!!! I know its not as clean as we got at home but sometimes the situation is so that i must adjust and be practical in life.... but i have got enough space i would surely bring my own towel.

I use the hotel towels when I stay, absolutely. I like even better when Im staying a a nice place and they leave the thick, heavy, comfy robes...I love those!!

I dont have room in my luggage for extra towels generally.
Plus, the way I see it, all their towels and sheets get washed together. Since I slept in the bed i've already rubbed all over the sheets and pillow cases so its not going to get much worse.

I myself, of course prefer to use my own towel but if the situation does not permit me to bring my own due to I need to pack more things on my suitcase which is more important, I'd just use the hotel towels. I think they are also clean besides I will not die if I use not soo dirty towels.

I have always used the towels in the motels/hotels in which I have stayed. I can only hope that they have been sufficiently laundered between guests. I do find that they usually have a very odd smell though, but I suppose that can't be helped. I don' use the bedspread in a motel, because they aren't washed between guests. I just use the blanket and sheets to cover up.

I use them yes.But at times I have had to go exchange for another towel ue to finding hair in the towels. And long hair at it.Plus they are not as soft as my towels but I usually dont have room to pack towels since I have to pack for four other people(Me,my husband, and 2 kis.)So I try to pack as light as possible.

I understand why you don't use them, but I usually can't pack enough towels (not enough space in my luggage) so I'm forced to use at least some of the towels provided. I don't really like it, but I often don't have a choice as I try to travel as light as possible.

Hello!
We always use the hotel towels when we travel. The only towels we bring from home are beach towels to wrap around us when we get out of the swimming pool. My husband don't want us lugging a bunch of weight in our van so he stresses to take as little as possible, only what we need. But you know with us women that is pretty much impossible LOL. We are going out of town next week to be gone for a week and he wants us to bring maybe three outfits for during the day and wear them two times before we put them in as dirty clothes. He is funny but I love him dearly LOL.
