Do you reply for the sake of earning or do you reply to post to say something

I dont know about you guys but it sometimes bugs me if a person just replies in one "Incoherent sentence" its not that your bad in english or anything its just that you can notice when a person was just trying to earn a buck from your post. Although it is one of the reasons why we post here at mylot but I have grown accustomed to reading really meaningful thoughts, stories and quick responses with substance that when I find a badly made one in the middle it kinda bugs me.
Any ways I keep on advising people who do that to my discussion to please try to apply this method.
Your Opinion or Your response,
Why is it your opinion or your response
How to apply it to other people
Atlest with this method we would get a whole thought enough to see that they have appreciated your effort to post.
I dont want to sound like a hot head its just its so insulting sometimes, what do you think?

I try to be informative in my replies. To give my real opinion. But it depends of the discussion and how much the author allows the people to give a normal opinion. If he asks something just because of the money, if his discussion allows just reply like: yes or no...
This is team play: you co-operate. And some people are good partners, others-not.It depends of your communicative skills.

Nice way of putting it my friend, a team effort indeed, I just got furious at one person who made a post at my discussion on friends. I mean it was just one sentence but it wasnt even a coherent one. Any ways I agree its a team effort and we should all pitch in, we do earn from it so why not do it properly right?

I look through the discussions, and I only reply to the ones that really interest me, or the ones that I have an opinion on. I try to give a good response and not just one or two words, something that might have meaning to the person who posted the discussion. I did originally join mylot to see how much I could make, but the longer I am here I find that I just enjoy reading and responding to the discussions that interest me.

You are right it is very rewarding to read about other people here at mylot, I myself enjoy in the discussions it self whether it be as interesting or not, if its boring lets liven it up with a witty and hilarious comment that will lighten up the aura of the post. Thank you again for your response it was greatly appreciated :)

there are people who's only happiness here in myLot is to post as many responses as they can... without even thinking of what they are talking about. there are some who even don't read the full discussion at all. they just read the headline and they go on typing what they think about it. not knowing that the headline is not really what the discussion is all about. obviously, they are up for what they can only earn.
we are in mylot to help each other in our questions. we share our thoughts and opinions and we try to help in resolving issues... not adding problems to the issue. i hope people will learn that.
anyway, with the very small amount we can earn per discussion and response, i am not up much up for it. i find it a great bonus and i am so happy to be paid at the end of each month. but i do try not to focus much on the payment. i only response to discussions i know i can add good thoughts in it. if not, i'd better not type anything at all.

Thank you very much pendragon your reply is an example of a short yet meaningful reply. You dont really have to post a novel just make sure they have substance like what pendragon did with this...That just the message Im wanting to send those who are just starting up.

You are right! I'd bet most of the people here post for the money. I do! and I don't deny this fact. I stopped posting/responding to discussions before because I felt depressed and disappointed with the money I earn. I realized the time I spent on wasn't worth it. Now, I am back, and I have another more important reason to post and that is to improve my English skills. I am not that good yet, but I know with practice and determination to learn, I will improve.

That is a noble reason for joining mylot my dear, I hope your learning experience would be a fruitful one, my point really was not that Im against people who are posting for the money all of us have that hidden agenda believe me but my point really was atleast poeple would have the decency to reply to the post with the intent of answering a question with coherency and readability and to atleast give an opinion I just didnt like one response to me saying "Yes I do" "Yes three years ago..." hahah see they are kinda insulting. Thanks for your views and let me return the favor by answering some of yours :)

Good point nielcdg as sometimes I just reply for the sake of replying. A few times I am rushing to get a few responses in because I have so many to reply to in my email and so if I can at least answer one from each person then i feel ok about it, but then again i know sometimes my responses can be one liners or something that is not really useful to the reader.
If the topic is interesting and I don't have time to respond then i leave it and come back to it. I have a few friends that ask from 3-9 questions a day and it can become cumbersome, so sometimes I skip through and answer the easy ones just to show that I have responded to their discussions. Sad but true.

Thats ok Maddy as long as you have shown that you did give your opinion to the discussion yet what Im concerned is with people who reply who dont even make sense. One liners can be meaningful too with the right words. I just dont like those who write with no motivation at all but the money they will get from the few words they made.

I do it at the same time. I become a member of this site because I'm looking for an extra income opportunity online. I don't have a job right now that's why I have to do it. But then as time passes by I've love MyLot, I don't just earn some money here but also learn alot of things from different people. I can share my experiences and sometimes ask for some help for some things in life.

I know how you feel. I reply because of the interest of the discussion. If I don't understand what the person is asking, I won't bother to reply to the discussion. I hate when I recieve replies that are either one word or one short sentence. That tells me the person dosen't really care about what I have to express. Hey you don't sound like a hot head at all, I admire the fact that you're honest about this topic. I believe many people should apply the same meathod in all discussions.

I mean its ok to make a short response right but to make a short sentence in a poor manner is a bit appauling. I dunno about these people really but I like reading posts and replying to them second only is the promise of getting paid for it. any ways even short replies can have some substance right?
