Aye! They are just so boring and they're all the same!! I mean I gotta dress up and look presentable for ten minutes of questions about where I worked and how when it's all on my resume!! Granted, that's one way of people finding out how you communicate and stuff, but it is still soooo boring....
And you know what I hate more than interviews? The second interview.. That's even worse. Just make up your mind already.. You're gonna ask me the same questions in the second one...
Now I did start a discussion that I don't really make a good first impression which means I have to work twice as hard on interviews... But it does work, I guess my assertiveness which is not such a big hit socially does look better when applying for a job...
But I still hate interviews, especially if you're gonna offer me a telemarketing job why not just take my interview over the 'telephone'? That makes more sense...
So do you feel the same way I do about job interviews?

Hello, vega,i also do not like to habe job interviews because it may be just a test for you to show how to impress people by your outlook or how to 'answer'to questions well, some people may already have model answers for most of the questions, but i doubt whether they are really suitable for the job.
I do not like to have group discussion as sometimes you may see someone dominating,i am not really talkative and may be disadvantaged because of it.

I also hates job interviews, wish that I can get a job without going for an interview. The worst part is we have to fill in the form before the interview session and all the particulars they needed in the form is already in the resume that I have send before. Don't they read all the resume before call us for an interview?

Don't feel like that my friend. It's just a formal way of knowing you. Of personally knowing you. The interviewer just want to know you better because you'll be working with their company. :)

Yeah, but I don't think they'll know anything about me in 15 minutes, I don't even know me and I've been living with me for 23 years.. and how can they know me when the only questions they ask are the ones that the answers to are already on the resume...

Job interviews are stressful. You have to make sure to dress accordingly because you do not want to come across in a negative light. You have to have a good resume as well and be prepared. I always get nervous before a job interview. I want to make sure I do well and come across in a positive light. Plus, you have to stand out from the other candidates. That has to make a lasting mark.

I usually enjoy job interviews, but then again I haven't had many boring ones :)
I like the challenge of presenting myself as an asset for the position and make them feel like they will be the ones loosing if they don't hire me :)
Of course there's a lot of BS in interviews, but for me it's an interesting prospect. Kind of like a game :)
I like to be able to figure out what they're looking for with their questions, and where they are getting at, and it usually works well.
I would always prefer a face to face interview to a phone interview, but will feel ok with both.

Yeah, well, in some cases, I'm talking to the interviewer and I answer a question really efficiently and I can actually see it in the interviewers face that he's so buying it.. Using big words like dedication and motivation, you can really turn things around in your favor... and I'm thinking to myself, hey, I nailed that...

Yeah, I love the " I nailed that!" feeling lol
I usually like to concentrate on the positives and do the same with interviews.
Last year at school when I was trying to convince parents that the new program we were bringing into the school was exactly what we needed - and I still believe that - my colleagues jokingly told me it was a great "pitch". But the fact is that it all goes down to have an idea of what the other person/persons are looking for and create or message directly for them:)

Oh I hate job interviews (but I am interviewing people most of the time, even I myself find it very boring). I hate them because I don't believe you can analyze a person within that hour or two. I don't think it's fair to judge people to quickly and by his/ her resumes. What I hate most would be those interviews with tests you have to complete, it makes me feel like they are de-meaning my work experiences and my brain. They make me feel like I was in school and going through exams. How odd! I absolutely hate those interviews but I will need to attend some myself at the end of year *laughs*.

well i guess everybody feels so nervous about job interviews, having to stay in front of a panel who's duty is to make sure you are the best for the job.
I haven't been to a job interview before but i have attended project seminars where i was called upon to review what i did and how i got my results. It was a stormy weather lol

i hate job interviews so much. i prepare the night before, even searching the internet for the perfect answer for every possible question. i practice in fornt of the mirror until i perfect everything. but on the day of the actual interview, i forget everything. i can barely remember what i say to the interviewer. im just so nervous that i mess up every interview.

I do hate job interviews. Job interview is often bias. You can't judge someone in one or two hour interviews. People are considered as complicated humans. Do you think we can choose our partners (husband or wife, for instance) based on one or two dating events? I don't think so. It will often take months or years in order to know someone better. Although we already know someone for years, it won't guarantee that the relationship will be everlasting.
The same thing also applies to the job interview. As we already know, people are easy to be prejudice toward others. So, if you don't like someone's appearance because he/she may look like or resemble to someone whom the interviewers don't like. The probability is that you won't get the job. Thus, I am often skeptic about many articles about how to do this or that during the interview. I guess... it is just theory because in reality, it won't be like that because 80% will depend on personal judgments of the interviewers and only 20% will talk about experience, qualifications, and skills.
If you know someone well at the company you're applying for, the probability of getting the job will be 80% although there are other candidates who may be better. Also, if you know a recruiter well, the chance that your resume will be forwarded to the company is greater.
So, I am thinking if there is a better recruitment in order to recruit people....

Yes...It drives me crazy then. Asking questions about what is on the resume. Or maybe they just want to see how our looks.
