Aphrodite was the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. The ancient Romans called her Venus. If you read anything on Greek and Roman mythology, you will learn about her. Her son was called Eros (Cupid) and his dart would make the most unlikely people fall in love. So you could not depend on him and Aphrodite was not the most faithful of goddesses, but you to expect that because the gods and goddesses of the ancient Greeks and Romans were a reflection of their lives.
