Finally, On my Own at Work!

Yesterday I was checked off from orientation. I am happily starting to go out on my own to see clients. Yesterday was my first. It was great. Today I am seeing one client for 4 hours. When I finish up with her I will need to go back to the office for another assignment. They may send me to another client or work with another person. I am really not sure why they would choose to do that though. They want to ease me into the job without overwhelming me. But, I am ready for it.
The boss is very family oriented. She has given me Friday off so I can prepare for my son's wedding reception. I am grateful for this because I really wasn't sure how I was going to pull it all together in such a short period of time.
It is good to have a job that I really enjoy doing.

you seem very satisfied with your job and i am happy for you and I say..wow..with you and for you. Job is an important part of our life and it is fundamental to enjoy our job or we will feel frustated and overwhelmed by the problems and the sacrifices we have to face!!! May I ask you what kind of job you are doing? I am sorry if you already posted it, but I cannot seem to remember what job you are doing. Anyway, good luck with your job and I wish you could do a brilliant career! and of course congratulations on your son's wedding!!!!!

It is excellent that you have a boss who thinks of her employees welfare. Even if you are ready for the amount of work, if she wants a quiter routine for you initially, then take the opportunity. You are still learning new aspects of your job, no matter what capacity you are working in.
Have fun making that cake & pre[paring for your sons wedding. Good Luck.

Congrats, I hope you enjoy your time at work and have fun at the same time. There's nothing like doing something you like and getting paid for it. With the freedom your getting, it surely must be heaven. But don't slack off though, just make sure your still doing what your suppose to be doing, after all in the workplace, experience and first-impressions count alot.

I am so happy for you, that you have a job you like. I once helped an elderly lady, I went to her house 2 times a week for about 5 hours. I did whatever needed to be done. Laundry, washing, cooking, errands, cleaning, taking her to the doc's. Stuff like that, it was such a full filling job. We became great friends, sadly she passed away a few years ago. Good luck with your sons wedding, remember to have some fun....you have earned it.

This is really wonderful.Im glad you are enjoying your new job and you are right its good to have a job that you really like because if you are on a job that you dont like then your day will go slow and you will be uncomfortable and not want to actually get up and go there.I work with mentally challenged adults and i love my job to.It really does feel great.Take care and i wish you much success.

It is great that they are training you thoroughly. So many times people get thrown into a job without enough help or training. I am excited for you. You should be getting close to the first paycheck as well. That is a big plus. I wish you well on the wedding reception. Do you need any help, I would love to help you virtually. Weddings are so much fun. Wishing you a wonderful week at home and at work. It looks like things are turning around for you.

That is wonderful news. I bet its a great feeling to be finally on your own. And its good that you are getting friday off. Your boss must be a real sweetheart. Most bosses wouldn't have done that. Good luck with the wedding reception.

Sounds like things are going well for you. Maybe they will send you out with another employee as they sent someone out with you at first. An orientation/probation period. Never know though. It's great the also allow the day off for the wedding prep etc. That's not easy to find now days especially after only a month or so at the job. Have a blast with the reception plans etc.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That is wonderful that you are enjoying your job very much and are done with orientation. I know it must feel good to finally be able to go out and work on your own. Sitting through orientation for a long time can be very boring and is more exciting to go out and start doing the work. It sounds like they will be keeping you busy. It is definitely important to have a job that we enjoy doing.

The job is going great. If only they would give me the hours that I had been promised. I was told that I would have 40 hours a week, but lately have only 30-35. Not enough to pay the bills. The wedding went very well, best party I have hosted in a long time.

I am so happy with you my Butterfly. There is nothing worse than being in a grueling job you don't enjoy doing with a crappy boss to boot. I am delighted that your boss was thoughtful enough to give you some time off for this auspicious event. I bet you are really excited about the Wedding and I hope the happy couple loads and millions of happy days and years together and for you some good times ahead with your work, family and the rest of us here on Mylot..

I so understand you! I was at home for 7 years with my children. When I split with the father of my children, I HAD to honor my promise to my children, to be with them full time until the youngest started school full time. Gratefully the year my son started first year of school, I found the most wonderful job. They EXPECT my family to come first and support and encourage time with my children while at the same time support me 100% as an employee. I am truly blessed with the employer I have. They rock and I love them dearly for their support continually! Don't give up, if you ask for it, it will come. In all life matters!!!:)
