Frugal Tip -- Use Coupons

Using coupons can save you hundreds of dollars a year. Coupons can be used at any store where that item is sold. Some stores even offer double coupon days where you will save even more. Coupons are for any type of items ,not just food items. I always use coupons for my cleaning supplies. Our local Dollar store accepts coupons and for example - I buy windex there for 1.25 and use my -.50 coupon and that is a huge savings. I try to only use coupons only for the items I use all of the time. It is not a savings if I am just using the coupons and then not even using the product I buy. I trade coupons with friends and family members. My grandma uses coupons for her denture cream , so I will trade her my coupons for ones that she does not use, like ones for hot pockets.

I love to use coupons when we can. We don't use them that often as my husband and I haven't yet gotten a place of our own. When we do have a place of our own I am taking all the things I've learned from friends, family and people here, and incorportating them. We want to be able to save as much as we can when we do move out as we believe it's vital to do so, and also helps the environment in ways. IF we can use one thing for three different jobs before throwing it away, it works for me, ya know?

Hi indywahm. This is great advice and thank you for sharing with us. Sometimes I buy stuff in the store when they are cut down in price. But I never used coupons as I don't know where to get them. I receive some in the mail but it seems that it's never about the products that I want to buy lol I have heard about coupons that you can get online from websites but I have also read that stores are not accepting printed coupons from online websites as there is a lot of fraud. Could you be kind enough to tell me where you get your coupons? Thanks indywahm and have a great day!

This is a proven fact when my neighbor goes to the store she saves a lot of money using coupons. I'm not even going to lie when she first told me about coupons in the back of my head I was like oh my god she uses coupons! How old fashion is that? That was until i realized how smart she was for using coupons.
