How can I remove white heads on my face?

My kids use a cream called zitbegone. They also like the oxy cream. I have a friend whose daughter will take a tiny bit of bleach and put it on each white head. This drys them out. I don't know how safe putting bleach on your face would be, probably not too, so I would stick with the creams bought at the store.
