why do most of the children hate their parents so much?

Most children hate their parents or feel embarrassed when they are seen by their friends with their parents. What may be the reason behind that? I don't feel the same thing with my parents.

You cannot generalize the statement.It is all in the hands of understanding parents.They must understand the different moods in different ages and the modern trend too.

In some cases, the more the parents try to understand their children, the more they become despised by their children. How can parents solve a problem like this?

The basic problem is that the children dont understand their parent. They dont realize that the advices from the parent are for their well being only. Most of the time, they think that their parent are giving them trouble, without understanding that their parent are actually trying to help them out. Once they start thinking their parent also as their friends, then I think every problem will get solved.
