I just got off the phone with my husband's birth mother. My husbands Nana is full of cancer and only found this out last Tuesday (a week ago). It turns out that the cancer is not only in her liver but also her lungs. She was rushed in to the hospital by ambulance around 11:30 last night and things do not look good for her.
I am concerned also for my husband's mother as she is prone to depression and her brother can cause trouble from time to time also.
All I can say at this time is I appreciate all of your prayers and thank you in advance!

I'm sorry to hear that cancer is such a cruel disease, the only thing you can do when the time comes is to be there to support your husband's birth mother.
My prayers go out ot you and your family.

That is very sad and I hope you are holding up as well as can be expected. You will have my prayers and my sister-in-law is with a prayer chain. I will put you on that also. If you don't know what a prayer chain is it is where a group of people call from person to person on the chain when someone calls and says they need prayers. So I will put you on that list.

Hi Heavenschild,
I am so very sorry to hear about this, and it came as quite a shock to me. I'd just come on here, and noticed that you'd started a new discussion, through my inbox, but was not expecting this. What a sad way for you to 'get back' to myLot, after not being able to be here much lately. My thoughts and prayers are with 'all' of you, and it's a sobering reminder for me, of this dread disease, and its devastation. Take care of yourself too!

Hi Again Heavenschild,
I still can't believe this is happening, even as I'm reading it again. It must've been a 'huge' shock for you, and I imagine your husband found it very hard to tell you. As it turns out, I wasn't away this a.m. after all, as I wasn't feeling well last night. I'm still going to try to go tomorrow or Friday morning. There are a lot of very caring people here, as you can see, from the responses you've received, and you may still get some more as well. I'm continuing to keep you and yours in my prayers.

I am sorry you had to find out about this this way.
I knew you were going to be away this morning and I worked this afternoon. I wanted to get the word out so that others could pray...It was all I could do not to come on here and post at 2AM after we heard about all of this.
Nana was just diagnosed a week ago but I did not know until this morning...My husband has known since Monday but did not know how to tell me. It was a shock to me...
Thank you so much for your care and concern and especially your prayers.

No problem! I know how it feels to go through that. My grandfather had cancer and it spread so rapidly toward the end of his life that we just felt useless to do anything, but try to comfort him and make his last days as painless as possible. I miss him terribly, but I hope there is something they can do for your hubby's Nana. I will pray for that!
