Post a photo you took that you're really proud of, and why you like it so much.
My photo is a picture of Bret Michaels from the band Poison. I interviewed Rikki Rockett for a local magazine the month before and was given a photo pass so I could take some accompanying photos at the show. I love this because at the time I hadn't really figured out all the ins and outs of the camera (I had just bought it a couple of weeks before - right before my son was born) and it still came out really cool. I learned later that I had it on the wrong setting for photos in that particular setting, but I really loved the effect and ended up using that setting for photos of local bands, they loved the effect too.

Hi wiccania, I think you forgot to attach the photo you talk about. Would love to see the effect that you are mentioning.
Here is one of my photo's I am really proud about. I did not expect to get such a beautiful effect at all when I was out photographing in the local botanical garden. But when it hit my PC screen I was stunned with the immense details of the dew drops on the feather. I did not have to do any photoshop retouching, I just added the frame thats it. What do you think?

your picture is really cool. i love the way the dew looks on it. i took a couple of pictures of roses in the yard while it was raining yesterday. i haven't uploaded them to the computer yet, but looking at the pictures on teh camera it looks like the ones i used the flash on made the water shine like it's covered in sparkles.

I took this photo in the streets of Cairo about midnight. There's nothing special about it, however, I really like it because this is my favorite part of the city. The quality isn't so good though, as I was using a mobile phone camera. It was originaly in color, but made it to B/W with a blue 'night effect'.
