I have had this discussion with many friends, and while i cant say any of us are right or wrong, it seems that religion plays a huge role in how you think about this issue.

It is not okay to have an abortion. Religion does play a part in it - God created life, the unborn is not a piece of the mother nor is it a bit of tissue or virus that has to be expunged. It is also common sense. Supposing you were raped. Who should be punished the father or his result? On another bent, if a man robs a bank and kills a guard, should they arrest his son or daughter, put them in prison, and execute them for the crime? People talk about people become criminals because of being raised in bad environment and the way to save them is to raise them in a loving home. Do abortionists make exception for the unborn? Does the unborn suddenly change from an evil unborn baby to a newborn that can be changed by good parents? Do the unborn of mothers who gives birth were good from conception while those who were not, bad? Is the baby responsible for you losing your job? Is there no one in the whole world that will love your baby? Has all the adoption agencies been closed in the whole United States? Did the adoption agency close their doors? Is there no hospitals or convents, or places where she can give the baby to? Yes I do not believe in abortion because I am a Christian, but I also do not believe in abortion because I do not believe it is right to kill a little unborn person for the mistake of either of the girl or boy or because the woman fell on hard times.

What if the woman not having an abortion would result in both the mother and baby dying?
