I have been reading up on the bed wetting thing from the Wikipedia the free encyclepedia and they have some great points that you may need to read. Do you get her up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom? Do you let her have liquids after a certain time of the night? Most kids shouldn't get something to drink about 2-3 hours before bedtime. She could have an Infection or food allergies, excitement in dreams.. or even stress it can be caused by genectics also, Did you or your husband have this problem? Or anyone else in the family. It also says kids who have ADHD can have bed wetting problems.Bed wetting at her age isn't a major problem but if she is 12 and still doing it it is. It is nothing to be ashamed of and I hope you don't make her feel as though it is a bad thing because then it can have the reversed effect you want and cause even more bed wetting. Here is the link if your interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_wetting Hope you get to read it, It has some good information in it.

I had a bed wetting problem growing up and my stepdad made it worse by punishing me and then I would try to sit up all night so I wouldn't pee the bed. thenI'd fall into a deep sleep and end up bedwetting. Come to find out I had undersize bladder and stress and had to take medicine to help inlarge it some after my mom found out that it was due to medical reasons and stress related she wouldn't let my stepdad punish me any longer. But still stress does have a way of prolonging it. My husbands niece peed the bed till she was 12 for stress related problems. And it could be some food causes her to have to urinate more often and even fruit juices and things with red dye in them can cause it. Try to limit these for a day or so to see if you see any difference in her bedwetting pattern. If it is a serious enough problem and your doctors signs a paper you may be elligable for free diapers since your child is over 3. I hope that she gets some help or that she will grow out of it.
