Do your parents embarras you?

I love my father dearly, but sometimes I could curl up and disappear under the floor when he does some things. Has this happen to you?

My parents have never embarrassed me,personally but I guess as a parent I am guilty as my 11 year old son doesn't want me or his father at his graduation this evening.....boo hoo

How does graduation work. Is it an end of term dance or something?

Oh I think that is a bit mean. I bet you had to buy the outfit and everything. You could have made a promise not to get up on the dance floor. My kids fall about when I dance its usaully around my handbag which makes it worse. Still I had my day.

My dad embarrasses me, thankfully I don't have to put up with it, but I know mum does, my dad is very overweight and doesn't look after himself properly and why should it be mum's job? He's old enough to know better and he looks a state, he smokes a pipe too and it's always in his mouth like a dummy! I know how mum feels, I just have to see it when I visit them once a month or so.

My father had a car that was hand painted. Brush strokes. He also didn't tape the windows properly so there was paint on the windows. His philosophy was it didn't matter because it got him from A to B. When he drove us to school, we would tell him to drop us off a block away so that people didn't see... He will also go to the big shopping mall wearing a pair of his old grey dress suit (tuxedo) pants that got too ratty and are now sporting oil from having been worn while working on the car. Along with that is a skin tight t shirt about some fitness show, stretched appropriately over a pot belly. On a cold day he will add the horrible tweed coat that has the fur around the neck. He will cap it off with a Gilligan's Island type towelling hat (in bright red of course). And he will wear that hat into the mall totally oblivious to the odd looks that everyone must give him for the strange clothing ensemble.

Hehe yeah, that happens to me sometimes too. I feel bad for being embarassed by them, but it's hard not to when they do certain things! lol
