Xoom failure

I posted little while back, asking about Xoom.com. People were very positive about the program, so two days ago, I decided to take the plunge.
But, this morning, after having waited 2 days to get an email saying they had processed my transaction, I finally checked the site and discovered that my transaction was canceled!
I wrote to ask why and they were very prompt in responding. the email said basically "thanks for using us, we canceled your transaction." No reason given! I checked Paypal, all the money had been taken out, no problem. So I double checked my bank account info, all good.
Finally I noticed a little thing saying that my email wasn´t confirmed. Since I never got a confirmation email, I had them send it again. Nothing, so I tried another email. Nothing. The customer service emails come through no problem, but there is no confirmation email. I am so frustrated! All the replies to my questions are standard copy-and-paste.
So just a heads up.

You must stay in touch with them hopefully the problem will be solved if they are not scam it had been happened to my twice in mylot and finally i have lost my 15$ and all the discussions & posts i had made here including my login was canceled imagine a well reputed site troubled me ..........

I don´t think they are a scam because everyone seems to like them, I just think they are rather unorganized!
I just got an email back saying that they can´t tell me what the problem was because the Help section and the Verification Team are two different areas and apparently don´t communicate. They told me to call, but I will spend the money I was trying to transfer in making such a long distance call! So I am going to look for another option.
