Pray Naked!

As a busy SAHM to three girls, a tween, a toddler and a newborn I find it difficult to pray regularly and often. It seems it is so difficult to find some alone time to pray.
Someone once suggested to me to "pray naked". What? What in the world does THAT mean? The point was, you can always find a moment to pray...even if it is only when you are in the shower.
I thought about it a moment and realized how true this was. It is indeed one of the few times I am by myself with limited interuptions. (At least the sound of the water drowns out most distractions for a few minutes each day!).
So, I am curious....when do you find time to pray and spend some one on one time with the Lord? Do you, like me, have to find some creative ways to do so? Or do you have a set routine you follow each day?

I have found that praying in the car on the way to work, in the shower, on the potty anywhere you can find a few moments of quiet time makes a big difference. it is hard to find time with kids and the craziness in daily life, but the shower works just as good as any!

I also like to pray in the car, though I often wonder how many people driving around me think I have lost my mind! But hey, whatever works, right?! Prayer does help calm me and gives me a few minutes to center myself and to remember what's important in any given situation. Otherwise, I think I would lose my mind!

Why do you need alone time to pray? You can pray in your mind anytime, anywhere. It's not like God doesn't hear it unless we say it outloud or get into certain positions, as in on our knees with our hands folded together in front of us. If you feel you can't really connect with God unless you are alone, I might suggest you pray while lying in bed getting ready to fall asleep. AlthoughI admit I have fallen asleep in the middle of praying before. But I think God understands. Communing with the Lord is a very relaxing way to end the day and go to sleep. I don't believe a special time, place or routine is needed to talk to our Father. He does hear us wherever we are.

I agree with cybermom45. There are times when I m busy with house work and I pray while I am folding the cloths or washing the dishes. I know that the lord understands, because there has never been a time where my prayers haven't been answered:)

I have say this concerning prayer that when i prayer i prayed not just because have to prayer any how, some people always pray just for the sake of prayer and is not that important to them at all.
There is no best time i pray and how i have to pray, to me prayer is something i can really do to the point of satisfaction in rendering my heart of prayer to GOd concerning how the spirit of God directed me to pray, for prayer to have strong impart, you must be directed by the spirit on how to do such prayer.
If the spirit of God tell me to render my prayer alone in total nakedness if that is how my prayer will accepted that hour in other for me to see the result of my prayer, i not hesitate, but do it with all humility right.
Because when i prayed i always like to see the result of my prayer, and that is important to me not how and where i do such prayer.

Hi. I have found that one of the best times for me to pray is just before I go to sleep at night. I like to lay there and talkto God in my mind, talking over things and asking Him for Devine guidance and help. I can not face lif'es troubles by myself.

Of course, when I am alone...it is the best time to pray....when I am going to sleep...when I am going to awake...only I can feel myself and offer my prayers.

Hey! good to find someone who does it similarly..
I usually o straight to shower after I wake up and do all my thing there...
But before I do anything I usually orient myself for the day by praying...
It never fails to lift me up every time..

I am often the same way - when do I find time, I honestly have shut myself in the bathroom and spent time praying while in the bathtub or shower - He does hear our prayers and wants us to pray 'unceasingly' so why not there just so we are doing it - praying that is. Well, I suppose showering too.

Father doesn't mind when or where his son would like to talk to him. " True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth." It doesn't say true worshipers will worship in "a certain place" or "a certain time". The point of worship is that we worship our Father from our heart! God see us through our heart- the inner being, not from appearance.
Of course, if you're able to keep your heart from the outside world while you are in the shower, and talk to our dear Father in spirit and in truth, then God is happy because the Father is looking forward to those who will worship Him in that way.
Sometimes I have to pray on traffic on my way to company and on my way home. Time and position is not the most important thing. One thing God care most is where our heart is when we pray.
