Simple questions do you answer them?
Do you like one's which have a fair bit of text or would you rather answer something quickly?
I think both have meaning but I generally prefer bigger and better questions. one's which make me think, which is why I normally post discussion which do that or at least push peoples opinions.
Those are important and I think it's easier to post short responses but I'm not a fan of it unless I can't say much.
What are you thoughts?

I personally think it is quite insulting when you post one-liner questions, not to mention that it runs a very high risk of getting deleting by the admin.
If the poster does not have English as his/her first language, ok, I can understand. Otherwise...
It's like, why should you expect me to give a long, quality answer if you just post a one-liner? If you give me a one-liner, I have to "respect" you with at most a one-liner.
So generally speaking, I avoid one-liners. Unless it is obviously a request for help - and not a discussion topic proper - then I wouldn't want to spend half an hour typing a long response only to have it deleted by myLot. :P

I think that's an excellent way of looking at it lordy.
Personally I don't mind, I do avoid "pure" on line questions and nothing more but a simple question with at least an answer from them too.
Kudos, :)

I asnwer simple questions and I also answer the hard questions too if I have some knowledge about it. I think both of them have meaning also. I like to start a discussion also that will bring in many responses from members from all over the world. I skip over the discussions that I cannot post with quality also.

That's a great way!
I think posting to our bests important because it helps us and it helps those we respond to but anything can be quality if thought and effort went into it :)
Thanks for input, much appreciated.

Honestly I dont like the questions that require a short answer. I prefer to answe the ones that make me think about it before I actually type it. The other thing I have learned with mylot is the more you type in a discussion the more you will earn. I have tested it out myself. I had one day that I answered only short discussions that required short answeres and then the next day I only responded to long winded discussions and the pay increased very much.
I dont remember exactily how much it was cause that was a long time ago but I do rememberthe pat increased with the more I typed.

That's a great attitude!
I think it's also important to explain and answer to good question. Simple one's can be fun and come wrapped nicely but generally shorter ones don't and aren't fun.
Because I think (this from speaking my point of view) the user only replies "thank you's" and not a meaningful response to the responder.
Thanks.. i rambled a bit there! hehe

The matter of the discussion is all that's important to me wether it be a long one or short one. As far as my responses you know I very seldom have short responses as I tend to think and talk a lot. HAHAHA!!~ I always add at least a few sentences answering the question, commenting on the issue at hand, offering my advice, or offering my opinion.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Responding is a weak area for myself.
I'm not always sure what to say to someone with it being online you never know how they'll react. Which is why I often ramble or have a laugh... hehe
Thanks Grandpa bob

I guess I feel about the same way. Two or three sentences is hardly enough. But sometimes I ramble on and on and don't know if I am really saying anything important anyway....lol. Some topics, I just scratch my head and figure I can't say more than a sentence or two at most. See how I am rambling on about your topic? And I bet I haven't said much of anything that is all that important...lol. But it looks impressive in the little box with all this typing. Over and out. Joey, you seem like a great person. So I won't keep going and let you get back to more important matters...

I prefer ones where I can add a decent comment and put in my input but sometimes I find it hard too I will either leave it and go on to another discussion or I just lump it and go ahead with posting a short response... I do hate simple annoying questions and where I can't understand specifically what they are trying to say because of their english skills...

I prefer discussions that make me think- I like to answer with quality responses- I can better do this- with a discussion that makes me think-
What I don't like is someone asking all kinds of quick questions- without even telling you their views on the subject- It's obvious these people are here strictly for the money- and I won't add to their earnings this way- I see more and more 1 liners- or even 2 liner discussions like this- and for the life of me I cannot figure out why they are not deleted-
Just my opinion!

well surely that depends on what type of question . .the quality it provides and flawless english. lolz.
even though the discussion is a one liner if the one who made the discussion provdies sufficient answers.
i too make one liner discussions and i tend to make up for it by responding to all of the comments with full answers. Its like my comment is a lot more than my discussions.
i don't reply to simple answers that i feel like they just thought of it and like " hey do you to church? " and then explains like " i go tochurch do you?"

This is certainly not a simple question. I don't like answering the very short discussion questions but sometimes the subject is interesting or it is started by one of my friends. Or perhaps a new user that I can encourage to type more so that their discussions do not get deleted. Sometimes the discussion itself is so long it takes ages to read it and I have forgotten what I wanted to reply with before I get a chance!!!
So I prefer medium sized discussions questions but the content is much more important to me.

I like both types of questions. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to do a lot of deep thinking and I just want an easy discussion. Other times I'm more interested in deeper discussions.

I dont mind either and will try for something that holds my interest regardless if its long or short. But I have give up on one liners because I noticed a lot of these went missing. I will still answer one if the topic is good or its from a good friend. If the text is too long and over my head I wont answer either because Im generally lost on what its all about.lol

When I first started on Mylot we were inundated with yes or no answers which were plagued naturally but then Mylot took a tougher stance and all these easy questions were automatically deleted, so I am very wary now that these sort of questions are deleted. I do endeavour to reply to all of my friends notifications but some of them I have to sadly say ignore because I don't have anything useful to offer.

I like to answer both, sometimes if I only have a few minutes to hop on the computer I will answer the simple questions.

It depends on the question on whether I answer it or not. I find it can be hard sometimes to answer someone's discussion when they have just done a one line thing. Sometimes I feel there is not much that I can put there as well. I prefer when they put a little bit more into their discussion, that way I feel I can say more. It doesn't have to be long, but just a bit longer than one line.

I typically only avoid poll type questions or questions that don't eithe interest me or those on which I have nothing to say. If it is a short question, but one the piques my interest. I will respond. If it is a long question, but is rather boring or doesn't make any sense, then I won't answer that one either. I have seen some very long winded, senseless topics. I also try to avoid copy/paste articles. If you can't think of something to say in your own words, how do I know your stand on the topic? Anyone can copy an article. I much prefer dealing with someone that clearly states where they stand on a subject, even if I disagree.

Yes.
Just kidding Joey.
I do prefer it if someone has something to say, more than the one liner. We can't always think of plenty to say, but I think it is worth the effort to try and engage in a more meaningful conversation if possible.
If the question requires a more detailed response, I think it is only good manners to give it a good response.

I like both, the simple and in depth. I try to respond to both types. I tend to posr easier stuff because I am nor a controversial or confrontational person. I have he ability to ponder thought provoking posts but I tend to start those only with people I am very comfortable with and know will not be offended if I don't word it properly.
