How to keep the faith while facing an impossible issue?

I love God and am very faithful in that but.... recently things have gotten really bad in my life. My husband lost his job and now we are facing eviction within the next 2 weeks. I have tried praying,I have even had prayer request and chains put out there by or for me. We have no money and I have a 4 year old with medical disablities which she does not receive SSI for (we are fighting it in court). I feel like the end is near for me. I have nowhere to go,I have no family that can or will help us. What are some things I can do to help me keep the faith?

Hello my sister in Christ. I know exactly what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I have been on a medical leave from my job for the past 4 months now. I was working for a school. All this time I haven't received no income but one check from TDI. I am receiving partial benefits from welfare, but still have no medical because they cancelled my insurance. I live with my sister who is barely trying to keep the roof over our heads. And yesterday I got a letter from my job saying that they are inviting me back to the school for work. All I can do is give everything up to God. Continue in his ways and always believing in his power and his glory. The thing is sometimes God will allow things to happen to us for a reason. I don't know what the reason is for you. Maybe God is trying to make an example out of you. Maybe he's trying to show you something. I don't know. But like the story of Job, he lost everything single thing he had in his life including his family, but he never gave up on God. He never blamed God for what was happening to him. He kept his faith in God by praying and believing. We cannot give up on God. He will make that way for you. You have to let him. You have to give everything that is burdening you up to him. Only he can make that way for you and I. Continue to pray and like the bible says, when ye pray believe that you will receive. Just hold on. It might feel that you are at you lowest point, but like somebody reminded me that our lowest point is when we don't have nothing. Nothing at all. Just be glad that you still have your child that God had blessed you with and your husband whom God had put you together with. And most of all, be glad and give praises to God who still loves you that he's still there for you listening to you pray. You have moments in your life that only God had made for you to have. Continue to praise. Never give up. I will walk this road with you. My sister.... with God on our side, we will triumph over all that is put before us. I will keep you in my prayers. Don't give up. Love your family now, while you have them. Forget about the troubles and leave it in God's hands. He will take care of it. God bless you.

Thank your my dear brother in Christ. I will also pray for you and your family. It saddens me to hear of your troubles. I have strong faith, hope and expectince that God brought me to this sitution and he will bring me through it. I wish I could help you in some way but the only thing I can do now is pray. Thank you for walking this road with me. We will get through this.

I also wanted to say I know I will get through this because I know God is a loving God and he wouldn't let me and my family be homeless, which would happen becuase no body in my family could take us in. And I strongly feel that won't happen.

I was just reading my comment and saw that I mentioned something wrong. The letter from my job says that they are NOT inviting me back to the school for work. Just thought I let you know.

Faith is the spine of stamina, and I find that faith makes me very stubborn and I have many impossible issues under my belt.Impossibility is simply another door opening and faith is the key.

I read that you have tlked with your church and they say they cannot help you because they are trying to build a new one, I am not a really religious person but for a church this sounds a little selfish. I do believe a in God and prayer and i pray that something good comes your way. I too have found myself in rough times and i had to seek help from state agencies. I dont know how Michagans system works but in Pennsylvania there are programs that will help you with sheltor costs. Here it is called Adult Services i think and they can pay your bills if you are in risk of being evicted or if your gas or electricity is going to be shut off. You can get any of the numbers you need i am sure from you local court house. Good Luck I hope that something i might have mentioned will have helped you. coincidentaly i just wanted to say that i made it to your discussion through someone elses discussion, there are truely alot if great people out there on mylot. I will keep you in my prayers. Good Luck!!!!

Thank you so many people are truly caring here in mylot and I can't believe that there are people like this still in the world, that would take the time to help someone they don't even know. I don't feel angry towards my church though I mean I can't make them help me. But I will be looking in the next 2 days to see if I can find services I can use. Thank you again,I hope you are forever blessed!

Dear banbyangie27, this is really a terrible situation you are in. And the worst is, at the very distance I am from you, I can't offer you anything more than my prayers. But I make a claim to the many mylotters who maybe can help with advice about any organization or institution that may be useful for you. Or those who have more frequented blogs and websites, that they may inlcude a call for help. Anything else will probably sound very theorical, but as you specially ask about maintaining your faith, I'd like to remind you something very important: Faith was made for bad times. To have faith doesn't mean to believe in God when all the world is happy and things go fine. To have faith means to believe in God's love when the opression of sorrow, pain and conflict has its high tide. There is absolutely no place in the New Testament where God promises to spare us: "In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33). To overcome doesn't necessarily mean that tribulation will disappear. But it does mean that in spite of the most overwhelming problems you will not lose your faith. Now you have to look out for any answer you get to your discussion that may give you practical help. I you agree that I can open a discussion about you to get perhaps some more posts, please comment it here. Don't lose faith, I know so many cases where God's help came late, but not too late. Blessings!

Do you belong to a church? If you do, you could let your pastor know what's going on and he ought to be able to find a way for the church to help you, possibly through some of the congregation.
