I am often told that I am to trusting in people. One of my good friends always says that you ought to trust no one. What do you think? Do you consider yourself a trustworthy person?

Well you can be a trustworthy person and still trust no one. Being trustworthy, where people have confidence to put their trust in you can be flattering but also difficult. Imagine the scenario where you are told a secret and you keep that secret. Other people may also have been told the same secret. Then the secret gets out and you are in line for blame whether you kept the secret or not. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I am trustworthy and generally trusting in people and it has been known for that to backfire on me. haha

I know what you mean, I've misplaced a lot of trust in my life, I am almost to the point where I am starting to see where my friend is coming from. But I think that is a sad thing, losing so much faith in humanity.

I just can't imagine myself being in a situation wherein I can't trust no one. One can't help but become paranoid if that's the situation. Whether I like it or not, I still have to look for someone to trust. In doing so, I take some risk. And I believe it is worth the risk. That makes us trustworhty because we learned to trust others also.

Maybe but i woudl say that i try myself real hard to remain my commitments been made with others doesnt matter professionally or personally........the reason is i have found more sesce of responsiblity comparing with others specially when someone gives me task for something i try my best to fulfill my task rather ignoring or showing laziness because when someone stops trusting on you then your self esteem & performence will be effected & your faith in yourself will definitely fell down ........ trust is one of the greatest part of life other wise we are living in a great danger ........ Trustworthiness is one of the major quality can be found in a real muslim so i have more concerns with this quality in myself therefore i can be a real muslim instead of being a hypocrite ...........

Yeah, I don't think that you should ever expect out of anyone else that which you do not practice yourself.
