Marijuana McMansions? God, I love this country!

Just saw a commercial on ABC TV for a report they're featuring on World News Tonight Thursday evening, about something they call "Marijuana McMansions, the house right next door." Obviously, I haven't seen their report yet, but I'm almost positive they'll be talking about something that has happened in my area recently. Apparently, pot cultivators rent these huge "executive mansions" that they've been building everywhere for the last 25 years, and set the whole thing up as a giant growing facility. 5500 sq. feet of marijuana growing space - WHOOOO, HOOOO! There's been two or three busts of houses like this around here this year. Apparently, the softening real estate market has made it hard to unload these places, so landlords aren't being too careful about whom they are renting to. I laughed even harder when I thought about how stupid these dealers are to even consider using these places. They're called McMansions because they plop these huge, cookie-cutter houses on tiny plots of land, often with less than 30 feet between them. That's why I said the dealers are stupid - growing more than one or two pot plants is a VERY smelly business. You would have to spend thousands of dollars on an air-scrubber exhaust system to avoid detection in such close quarters. Guess they didn't think of that! Only in America, home of the industrious potheads! God, I love this country!
