Be it India, America, the UK, or anywhere else What would you change to the education system if you were able to change ONE thing? For your kids? For yourself? For the future?

I am happy with the present set of education system prevailing in India. There are lot of changes during my life time. Changes go on. We have to welcome the changes. It is for educationalists and authorities to think over the changes.

Here in the U.S. I would change a lot of the standardized testing. It seems that many states are now employing certain tests to see where the students are in their education and then using the results of how well they fared to judge the schools and apply different pay levels depending on how well the school performs. While this might seem like it urges schools to do better, it seems that the teachers only teach to the exams which are fairly standard, and once the exams are over, the rest of the school year then becomes a joke. I wish that their was a better method and kids were encouraged to excel.
