Is Paris Hilton's mom to blame for the way she acts?

Paris Hilton once said that her mom was one of her best friends growing up and always very supportive of anything she chose to do. But, considering that her recent actions have been a little more than questionable, you have to wonder exactly how much her mom knew about the real Paris.
Do you think Paris Hilton's parents are to blame for the way she acts. Were they too permissive and lenient in her up-bringing? Her sister turned out fine, and is now a successful business woman. So, where did they go wrong with Paris?
Should Paris Hilton's moms should have been more of a disciplinarian, than her best friend?
Or, is Paris Hilton just a spoiled brat that should grow up and get a clue?

hmm.. parents play a big role in their children's lives.
since the hilton's family is so rich, they could buy anything for their children, give them anything that they want..
this is not the best act that good parents do..
supposely, they must teach paris how to survive in this world.. give good care of paris, by giving her more discipline

I think that all kids within the same family can grow up differently and even if her sister is a successful business woman it does not mean she will be.
I think she has obviously been brainwashed by the celebrity status and having all the money she has and a lack of brain power, she has chose this life. Obviously her mum has done well with her sister, but not so well with her, but then can our parents really rule our lifes.
My mum and dad have luckily instilled values onto me, but if I decided to be seduced by fame and fortune, could they really stop me, I don't think so.
As Paris Hiltons assets are crap, she has made the most out of being famous for being a nobody and one day she may wake up to this and change her life.
Honestly though, with all whats going on in the world, am I bothered, NO!!

Yes, parents play an important role in child's upbringing. Ofcourse, Paris Hilton's parents can be the main reason for whatever she is today. If they have guided her correctly and taught her the value of money and life, she would have been a different person today. Parents can help child grow as a wise and good human being. Since, we do not know these people personally, it is not right to say about her parents.
