For now I attended school meetings only.
Casual wear is okey with pen and a piece of paper in taking down important matters that are discussed during the meeting.

although we will only be attending school meetings, it is proper that you bring along a piece of paper and a pen to note down whatever agreements maybe arrived at. it is good to be doing this because, you are right about some important matters that we need to jot down.

If I am to attend a meeting first thing I will do is to sleep early the night before the meeting. Then, I will allow 3 hours allowance for me my preparation ceremonies. You know, girl thing! I make sure I will have my meal and refresh myself. I will wear the most suitable attire for the meeting. Then, if I think I look good enough, I will allow 15 minutes allowance before the meeting. Meaning, I should arrive earlier before the meeting started. I turned off my phone or make it in silent mode.

i will surely prepare myself in a way that i am fit for the occasion from the way i carry myself to my clothes and all the things that i must have with me. if the organizers have furnished me with some reading materials in advance for the meeting, i would have read it through, have taken down notes on some important matters and have jotted down all those items that need clarifications. if this is not so, i will surely listen carefully during the proceedings and act accordingly as i should.

It is important to be appropriately attired for a meeting, especially if it is an important one and external parties, vendors or customers are involved. Punctuality is also essential. If you come in late for a meeting and you keep everyone waiting, you will become the centre of attention for the wrong reason, and it will not give a good impression of you. You have to prepare well before attending. Know what the discussion is about, read up relevant materials, handouts, previous meeting minutes, and even get hold of figures and statistics pertinent to the discussion topics. If you are the chairperson, set a proper and clear agenda and disseminate this before the meeting, so that others will know what you intend to discuss and prepare well for the discussion. At the meeting, be relevant and keep discussions to the agenda, and don't waste people's precious time.
