Revelation was written by the Apostle John who wrote the 4th gospel as well as I John, II John, and III John. He actually saw the Lord Jesus and was taken up into Heaven, probably in the Spirit and was told to write all that he saw which will occur at the end of the age. This book is true and it also says that those who read it will be blessed. It is a sad time for those who will go through the Tribulation but it is an exciting time for the Saints because we will be taken up as John was to observe what happens on earth during this time and then we will come back with the Lord to rule and reign with Him in a new Heaven and a new Earth.
