Had my ultrasound last May 9 and saw my baby on the monitor. It was really a different kind of feeling when you actually see your baby moving and watch the baby's heartbeat pump. I never did believe that I was pregnant until I finally saw my beautiful baby!!!. hehehe!
Well, last June 9, the doctor tried to hear baby's heartbeat through doppler but she was not able to. I asked if that is normal she said that probably the baby is still small to hear the heartbeat. What???? Small and I'm already 14 weeks???
According to my internet research, fetal heartbeat can already be heard through doppler as early as 9 weeks and yet I did not hear my baby.... Booo- huhuhu! I have to wait for another month to hear my baby's heartbeat. It scares me what if there is something wrong with my baby?
I hope my baby is a-ok. This is my first pregnancy and my husband is all excited about it. O well, let us wait for next month.

Yeah, been doing lots of things in the office lately. Aside from the fact that I am feeling lazy all the time. Had my monthly check up last Sat and I heard may baby's heartbeat already. Hooray!
But before the check up I was kinda feeling the baby already. Like slight movements in my abdomen, so I know my baby's ok.
I excited for our first born!

I am praying that all turns out well for you!
This happened to me and the outcome was not so good.
I am VERY surprised that they didn't send you to a specialist where they have better equipment. When this happened to me I had like four u/s done in 2 days and then was told to come back the following week. If you are concerned make sure you go back for another u/s as soon as you would like. If something is wrong then they will be able to see that because the look of the baby will be less defined and the sac will start to sag.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.. I know how hard this waiting period can be.
Please let me know how things turn out!!!!

yes you can hear the heartbeat at this time, unless the baby is very active. my son was sooo active (and still is lol) that one time when i was about 20wks they couldnt find the heartbeat just because he was moving around so much! also another thing is that the baby could be facing your back and if s/he is then it makes it alot harder to hear the heartbeat!

You should be able to hear the heart beat at 14 weeks along. They were able to hear mine at 8 weeks which is unusual. It is usually 10 weeks and beyond that they can pick it up with there doppler thing-a-ma-jig...lol
If you are worried about it and don't want to wait until the next appointment, you could go buy one of the heartbeat detectors they have out on the market now. I have no clue what they are called as there are a variety of them. This way you could hear your babies heartbeat anytime you want!
Congrats on your 1st pregnancy! Babies are so precious...

I remember my first ultrasound with my baby im in my 14 weeks...i was visiting my husband's country that time... my mother-in-law, my hubby, the doctor and me was the only person in the room...
we all looking at the monitor when the doctor started moving the scanner...
we where all suprised when we saw the baby kick..not only once but thrice...
my hubby cant believe it and he asked me if i saw it...
i said i saw it too..even my mother-in-law was so happy seeing the baby so active...
Regarding with the fetal heartbeat of your baby...
Maybe the doctor won't be able to find the heatbeat because the baby used to move alot...
I have that experience also, that it is very difficult to find the fetal heartbeat because she moves everytime...
Don't think too much, that can affect the baby...
Just wait next month...so you can see the result...
