A good mix of both, I would think (or at least like to think sometimes, hehehe). I grew up very book smart and able to learn quickly, but my father especially was very focused on making sure I was street smart as well. He grew up in the projects in Waterbury, Connecticut and made sure that I knew the rules of the street and how to survive. He went to school in San Francisco so there was always that lesson of knowing how to take care of myself.

I suppose I would say that I am more booksmart than streetsmart. I have never been on the 'cutting edge' and fortunately have had a fairly easy life to date. I'm fairly certain that I am clueless to a lot that goes on in the streets! Ha!

I would have to say that I am street smart. I actually think that street smart is better than book smart. I have a son who is definitely book smart and he has absolutely no common sense~ it is very scary to think that he is so knowledgeable on one hand and so not on the other.
