Do you go swim in a river or in a lake? Do you use the community pool? Or do you have your own pool in your back yard? I most of the times go swimming in a lake that has a nice little sandy beach. It is free and not crowded.

We have our own swimming pool in our back yard that we swim in. I love to go to the ocean to swim but we have to travel for vacation to be able to do that. there is nothing like walking in the sand and seeing that crystal blue water.

Yes, we go to the sea, too, sometimes on vacation. That is best. And I would like an outdoors pool very much.

Yes. I think the ocean is best also but when you want total privacy, your own pool works very well. We have had our pool for about 6 years and we love it. We just finished a deck that goes all the way around it and I bought some light up palm trees for the deck. i hope you can get a pool soon also.

Summer is always attach to swimming whether its beaches or hot springs or swimming pools. I love hot springs, helps me relax a lot. I love swimming pools, i feel safe coz the area is limited and there are life guards watching all the time. I love beaches too for the sand castles and also the sea shells. Though i love all these spots for summer swimming, what i love most is night swimming in the pool with friend. :)

I used to go swimming on beaches, but now I prefer the swimming pool. Beaches are becoming polluted now. and the owners don't care to clean their surroundings. I also prefer a private swimming pool.

I swim at my dad's house, he has a pool in his backyard. I will swim anywhere but I prefer the privacy of his backyard. I hate crowds.

I agree with you I don't like it either when there are lots of people around me or in the swimming pool, they invade you space and it's sucks :|.

Years ago when our children were small we had a pool put in our backyard. We knew that with 4 children it would see a lot of use, being a part of numerous birthday paries and cookouts! The children (and adults) have thoroughly enjoyed the pool! We open it each summer and it is used almost daily. I do not like public pools. The water in them is either not chlorinated enough (and one risks infections) or too chlorinated, and one's swimsuit becomes ruined! The lakes around our area are too polluted to swim in. They have even issued warnings not to eat the fish from them!

I don't actually like swimming very much. We try to go to the beach in the summer but it is about 1.5 hours drive away. Then I only paddle! I get my costume on when we are on holiday as then it is hotter and I don't care what anybody thinks about seeing a beached whale. LOL

I don't go anywhere. I live in the desert in the USA. There is no water here. I could go to a pool if I wanted, but it's about 20 miles away. I rather stay indoors.

we go by the sea because here in our place, during summer, at the same time lenten season, a lot of people including tourists, and the people from cities have their vacation here and love staying at the beaches near us, so you'll enjoy going there too, meeting new friends and of courses enjoy the place... sometimes, we also go by the river, we also have this in our place, it's nice to stay there, have a picnic with family and friends....

My parents have a big pool and they live 5 minutes drive from us. but thats not my fave swimming place. here in sa we have beautiful rivers and most have a lot of rock pools. especially at a waterfal. the serenity, clean water, and nature draws me there.

I either go to the beach or a pool (preferably a pool). I'm afraid of oceans; the waves are so powerful sometimes, I'm scared I'll be swept away and drown. Besides, beaches here are usually dirty. Coney Island, which is accessable by subway, literally has garbage floating in the water and it's so crowded always. Jones Beach, which is out on Long Island, is a one hour or more drive away (in other words, not worth it). Instead, I prefer to go upstate to my parents' summer resort and use their pool, while staying there for a weekend or so.

I love to go to the lake or the ocean, The beach is my favorite place on this earth, but they are pretty far from me, so until I can get there I swim in my pool in the back yard.

during this season, i prefer going to the open beach, where i can swim and plunged to my heart out. swimming in the pool where so many people are joining together looks somewhat unattractive to me. i hate thinking that somebody already peed in the pool :)
